Hispanic Israel Leadership Coalition in cooperation with Engr. Aja Eze Foundation and Global Strategic Alliance will be hosting a symposium on the Persecution of Christians in the Middle East: A Threat to International Peace and Security at the United Nations on April 17, 2015, 3:00 pm to 7:00pm in the ECOSO Chamber.

Our speakers include, The Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations and Ambassador-Permanent Representative of Palau to the United Nations; along with Ugoji A. Eze, Esq., Bridgette Gabriel, Lt. General William “Jerry” Boykin, Pastor Steven Khoury, Palestinian Christian Pastor, Mani Erfan, Former Leader of the Underground Church in Iran, David Popovici, Founder of Kingdom Gospel Mission, Mario Bramnick, President of the Hispanic Israel Leadership Coalition and Kevin Jessip, Founder of Global Strategic Alliance.

The Engr. Aja Eze Foundation has expressed the following: “The fate of the regions religious minorities is indeed of the greatest concern. The mass exodus of Christians who have been an integral part of the Middle Eastern mosaic for centuries is particularly troubling.

Pastor Mario Bramnick, President of the Hispanic Israel Leadership Coalition has stated that “It is our responsibility to stand up for the Christian Arabs who suffer great persecution in the Middle East.  We must bring to light the plight of Christian Arabs including Palestinian Christians.”

Pope Francis in his ‘Letter to Christians of the Middle East’ said, ‘How much longer must the Middle East suffer from lack of peace? We must not resign ourselves to conflicts as if changes were not possible.  May the entire church and the international community become ever more conscious of the importance of your presence in the region.’

The aims and objectives of the panel discussions are to discuss the emergence of the persecution of Christians in the Middle East and related intolerances as a threat to international peace and security; to highlight the mass genocide of Christians that is taking place in the Middle East; to highlight the security implications of the emergence of ISIS to international peace and security, and the role that education can play in building bridges of peace between the faiths.

The Hispanic Israel Leadership Coalition’s vision is to establish the largest and most influential Pro-Israel Latino entity to build a firewall against anti-Semitism and the Campaign to Delegitimize the Nation of Israel and to activate Hispanic Evangelicals to be the most “Pro-Israel, Pro-Jewish” demographic.  The Hispanic Israel Leadership Coalition is a subsidiary of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) is the largest International Latino Christian organization in America and in the world, with millions of Hispanic Evangelicals via our 40,118 US based congregations and over 450,000 global churches, which provides leadership, networking, fellowship, strategic partnerships and public policy advocacy platforms.
